Congo Inter Link is specialised in time-critical transport. Our clients are mainly companies who expect a high degree of professionalism and for whom strict compliance with loading and delivery times is of the greatest importance. Our role is much broader than only ensuring transport from A to B. Certain specifications concerning client specific procedures are fixed in service level agreements, tailored to our clients. Any transport services we carry out are evaluated at regular intervals, based on these agreements, and adjusted where necessary. Together with our team of professional employees, Congo Inter Link keeps constantly moving in search of the most effective transport solutions for its clients.

History

Congo Inter Link was founded in 2012 and started its activities in 2013 with five trucks doing inter-regional transport in Katanga. Today it has 28 trucks and has extended its transport from Lubumbashi to Kinshasa or Angola.
Upon request, we travel to the most remote places and even extend our transport to international scale (Zambia and Angola).

Transport planning and IT

Our specialised team of planners and dispatchers guarantee correct execution of transports 24/7 and have the most modern IT and communication devices at their disposal. All our vehicles are not only equipped with board computers registering each transport in detail, our trailers also have independent track & trace systems, so that not only the truck itself, but also the delivery can be located at any time.

Socially Responsible Commerce

To us at Congo Inter Link, a driver is more than someone at the wheel. He – or she, we also have female drivers working for us – contributes to the image and the added value of our company. When recruiting, we look at experience, but just as much at motivation, knowledge of languages and punctuality. Each driver is internally trained and receives a working manual with all information regarding driving and resting times, health & safety guidelines, speed limits in all European countries and per client any procedures we have agreed upon.

In recent years, Congo Inter Link has invested in optimising and automating its planning procedures, so that trip planning can be more carefully thought about, resulting in fewer empty kilometres, less wasted time and a decrease in fuel expenditure. We also invested in some new trucks, adapted to the Euro 5 norm, so that we can limit CO2 emissions as much as possible too.

Health & Safety

Traffic safety is of great importance to us. When recruiting and as part of our driver education policy, we devote a lot of attention to this. Each year, several schools visit Congo Inter Link and our safety manager instructs students on the possible dangers of trucks, especially the famous ‘blind spot’.

Congo Inter Link’s company premises are equipped with a mirror adjusting station. If the mirrors are adjusted according to the instruction chart, the truck’s blind spot is at its smallest. A little effort that contributes to improving traffic safety for our drivers and other people on the road.
